Now that our community has reached the Panda GoodQuest Goal, all players who rescued at least 12 Pandas will be receiving their QuestKeys!
The warm days of summer are almost over, but Elf Island isn’t done celebrating. In August, we’re holding a giant Luau and everyone’s invited!
Elf Island’s Luau will feature new goods in the Holiday Curio, a Luau Party, a themed home decorating contest, new Host prizes, and more!
To kick off the celebration, we’re holding a Luau themed “Design a Good” contest. We’re asking players to draw their very own Hula Lamp. One lucky winner will have their Hula Lamp created and brought into Elf Island as a good! Don’t forget to write up a name and description for your Hula Lamp.
All submissions must be original pieces drawn by you (no photos unless it’s a photo of your drawing, no links, etc). Please be in jpg, bmp or gif formats. Send all submissions to thetide@elfisland.com. We’ll start accepting submissions on Friday, July 31. The deadline to submit is August 10. No late submissions will be taken into consideration. We’ll showcase some of the best of the best here on our blog and one lucky winner will be announced at our Luau Party!
Good luck!

The following is a special story submitted by a parent about how Elf Island allowed him and his daughter to connect in the middle of the day and have some special family time. Enjoy!
As my daughter and I were on Elf Island the other day, we met in the Rainforest and flew up to the beautiful canopy to sit and chat in the middle of the day. She was happy to see me and I was thrilled to see her and chit-chat for a little while during my busy work day. She had her hair in a long black braid and was dressed all in light blue. It was funny, because I was in all blue as well. I said, “I like your mask,” and she liked my compliment and responded to me with a ‘happy emoticon.” She said she liked my hat. I was sporting a cool blue mushroom cap that matched the rest of my hip dark blue attire.
The funniest moment came when another elf came up to join us. We acknowledged her with a polite “hello” and ”hi,” and then I chose to dance like a monkey…and when I say dance like a monkey…I actually turned into a monkey with colorful wings and jumped back and forth dancing joyfully. My daughter then did the same thing. So as we both danced back and forth high up in the tree canopy, we certainly entertained our fellow elf friend. How did we know? She gave us a sign by emoting a ‘Laughing Tiki Head’ and then a ‘Rockin’ Emote’ – a cool tiki head with an electric guitar and feathered Mohawk.
Well, I had to get back to work, and she had to head to the pool with her sisters, so we wished each other a good day and flew back out to our REAL lives, both with huge REAL grins on our REAL faces:)
We both love Elf Island and through our game play – doing GOOD in the Real World!

Greeting, elves! Welcome to the Dragon Corner.
This week we are showcasing a few of our final entries for the Prehistoric Art Contest. Elf Islanders were challenged to submit original pieces of art they drew featuring dinosaurs, volcanoes, or anything from the Stone Age! Elves who participated in the contest won a Color Changing Amoeba!
There will be another art contest happening soon, so be on the lookout! For now, please enjoy the creativity of a few of our participants.

It’s almost party time again on Elf Island!
Starting Friday, July 31, Elf Island will be celebrating the end (and hopefully completion of) our Panda GoodQuest. It all starts when our latest party room opens on Friday, July 31. There will be one unique gift in the party room each day of the party, and each gift will be available for the entire day. Make sure to visit Friday, Saturday and Sunday to collect all 3!
Our Hosts will have two new Host prizes that you can only win this weekend during the Panda GoodQuest Party. There will be daily games, giving you plenty of chances to get your hands on these exclusive goods. During this time, our top panda rescuers will receive their Panda GoodQuest plaques and badges as a special reward.
Best of all, if we meet the GoodQuest Goal, all elves that rescued at least 12 Pandas will receive their QuestKey, and will unlock another clue to the secret and an awesome prize! Don’t give up yet! The goal is almost complete, but there’s still more good that needs to be done if we want to earn those keys!
Good luck!
Update: Click the lanter in the Party House to receive your party gifts.

You never know what you’ll find hidden in the caves of the Ice Mountain. Maybe a new creature, like a snowflake critter. Possibly an Ice Giant with a squishy head. But certainly! With no question! If you speak above a gentle, teeny, tiny, inside voice whisper, you will find yourself in the middle of an avalanche!
So quickly… quietly… help the snowflake critters escape the ice cavern before it caves in! Use the Ice Giant’s squishy head as a trampoline to bounce the snowflake critters to safety. Just click on the cave in the lower right of the Ice Lounge to rescue the snowflake critters.
At first you may find yourself juggling multiple snowflakes before things spiral out of control. The trick is to keep a steady hand and a keen eye for where the snowflake critter is going, not where they are.
Also, after a few tries you’ll be able to judge each type of snowflake critters’ flip. Some will flip really high, but fall faster than a cartoon anvil. Others will do the exact opposite. Sound confusing? Just a bit. But before you know it you’ll be flipping out snowflakes like flapjacks.
This week we are having a Hi-Score Challenge for all Snowflake Flipout players. The Top Ten unique Hi-Scoring players will win a limited edition Arcade Machine! The contest ends Tuesday, August 4 at 11:59 pm eastern.
Here are the winners from last week’s Fruit Works Hi-Score Challenge!

ALL day Friday, NikkiMarie was trying to raise money to buy the underwater room. It costs a lot. She was selling off everything she owned and playing mini-games, but was still really struggling to make money.
By the end of the day, she had raised 13,000 coins… an impressive effort, but still way short. Lilbumbles, a fellow player, recognized the hard work and gave her the rest of the coins she needed to buy the underwater room. I thought that was a really nice gesture, and think that she should be recognized. I’m not submitting my elf name for this article because I want all the attention to go to Lilbumbles and her GOODNESS!!!

With all of us working together, we’ve managed to pull within reach of the GoodQuest goal. Keep up the good work as the Panda GoodQuest comes to a close. We’re now hard at work planning our GoodQuest Party, which starts Friday, July 31.
With this GoodQuest drawing to an end, we’re now ready to announce the levels that our high scorers must meet in order to win the final prizes. Anyone who has rescued 125 pandas will receive the Top Panda plaque to hang in their home. Additionally, anyone who has rescued 300 pandas will also get to wear a limited time badge during the GoodQuest Party.
The final day to participate is this Friday, so there’s still time to join in or to put in a little extra work if you’re striving for the top prizes. It’s not over yet, so keep it up. If we meet the GoodQuest Goal, all elves that rescued at least 12 Pandas will get a QuestKey on Saturday, August 1. Good luck!
See you on the island.
